We are situated in very attractive and spacious grounds, in the centre of the village. The school was opened in 1974 to replace the historic schools in the villages of Burneston, Kirklington and Wath. The school draws most of its pupils from a number of small villages and surrounding farms.
Children are taught in four classes, by a team of dedicated and friendly teachers, teaching assistants, midday supervisors, administrative staff and parents who all work together to enhance every child’s learning experience. As a Church of England school we welcome all families and offer them an insight into the Christian faith. The school also has strong links with the community and visits the local village churches as often as possible to celebrate the main festivals.
Visitors are always welcome at Burneston School. We are very proud of our school and enjoy sharing our work and happy atmosphere with others. Please contact us if you require any further information and thank you for taking the time to look at this website.
