The parish

Burneston Primary School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided school and, as such, has very strong links with the parish.

We sit in the united parish of Kirklington, Burneston, Wath and Pickhill, a rural parish lying between the North Yorkshire moors and the Yorkshire Dales. The parish covered by the four parish churches of St Michael in Kirklington, St Lambert in Burneston, St Mary in Wath and All Saints in Pickhill.

We regularly visit St. Lambert’s Church in Burneston for services at the key religious festivals. We also have an annual Christmas Carol Service at Kirklington Church.

The Rector of our parish is Rev. Stephen Gamble. He is always a welcome sight in our school, he takes collective worship every week and assists us with other parts of the RE curriculum (such as teaching us about Baptism and Weddings).
